Assistant Accountant

Your New Company/Role:

As one of the established and rapidly growing construction organization, my client is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their growing team, based in Silverwater 2128. This is a permanent full time position. The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Accountant:

Your duties include:

• Assist with the month end process, GL reconciliations, BAS returns to ensure compliance with deadlines
• Performing general ledger and account reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards
• Assisting with monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
• Assist in data preparation and collation required by Accountants for auditing purposes
• Assist with annual audits
• Any other reasonable duties that may be required by Fredon

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Receivable/Credit Controller duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:

• Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance (Tertiary qualified Accounting & Finance)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience within construction industry - advantageous
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
• Experience with large ERP systems - COINS would be advantageous but not essential

Benefits

• $70,000 - $80,000 + Super (based on experience)
